The benefits of lemon,



Hello dear friends. Im sure some of us are not oblivious to the uses of “lemon.” No wonder a lot of household cleaning agents contain lemon. Lemon comes as a great treatment in beauty aesthetics. It can also be used successfully in managing a couple of health or wellness issues. Nothing beats such a natural and unpreserved way in usage.

Lately. I researched the benefits of Lemon, and I must say I discovered quite a lot. What prompted me to do so was due to the fact that I have been applying fresh lemon to my skin surface in the last two weeks based on the advice of one of my friends from couverzorganicskincareng. I applied lemon directly to my skin over night and every morning. I was amazed at how my skin cleared out without so much as spending a dime. A couple of blemishes that I had just swelled up and dried out after the application in the space of three days. It even lightened one or two blackheads that had been there for ages as I refused to use any kind of cream or lotion in the market since I once had a bad reaction to one. In case you are wondering, yes sometimes I do have skin issues too hahaha not to mention wrinkles J

As a beauty treatment,, the juice naturally exfoliates , brightens skin and also anti infective. Use full strength or diluted with water as a natural facial toner. Lemon is rich in fruit acids that will gently remove dead skin cells and bleach darkened or discoloured areas. As treatment for blackheads, clogged pores and blemishes…apply lemon juice directly to the areas at night. Do not wash off until morning. Pimples and acne will naturally dry up. It removes blackheads, freckles and wrinkles. It also works in treating eczema, whereby you remove the application with water and olive oil.

The peel may be rubbed over elbows and knees to eliminate rough or dark spots.

Brighten or lighten fingernails by soaking them in the juice for ten minutes.

For toothache, apply fresh lemon juice on the painful area.

Drink a glass of lemon added to lukewarm water every morning before breakfast.. It is a great cleanser for the stomach. (This is true as I also do this) It gets rid of toxins and acts as a blood purifier. It also removes constipation, .

When mixed with olive oil, it may help dissolve gallstones and useful in treating cases of kidney stones.

It is useful for people with heart problems.

Here a Himba lady is preparing deodorant. She uses smoke from smouldering specific herbs, plants and aromatic resins to cleanse and perfume herself. This scene was taken inside her hut, in a village about 15 km north of Opuwo, Namibia.

Do you suffer from BO? Are you at a point of shame and embarrassment? Some people suffer from this condition in a chronic way.Sweating is a natural form in which the body get rid of toxins. It is totally odorless but bacteria on the skin feeds and breakdown on it, therefore releasing chemicals that cause an unpleasant smell.

Even if you have you done everything you know how to do,  there is still hope. Keep trying and don't be discouraged. Everybody is different and there is no single cure for all as long as you keep looking for answers. Wear cotton underwear and avoid tight or synthetic clothing. Never wear yesterdays clothing. Try getting rid of stanks by soaking clothes in baking soda prior to washing. White vinegar on problem spots or a cup added to the wash might also help.

Change in diet:- reduce intake of red meats, spicy foods, rich deserts and ice creams are difficult to digest. Drink plenty of water to flush out system. A cup of tomato juice drunk every morning for a week might help and you may have to do that continuously. Green tea is also advisable . You will benefit from a need of acidolphilus and digestive enzymes. Charcoal capsules may help. Trying out or increasing your intake of Magnesium has been thought to be very successful. Side effects of certain medications may cause BO.

For excessive sweating, Botox injected into the skin near the armpit can control the situation, removal of sweat glands from armpits or destroying the nerves that control armpit sweating may be recommened.

Sugar sugar Sugar......Bad for you!

Even though I have always been a bit skeptical on my sugar intake, I had to blink a couple of times to digest all the images here. It gave a bit of a scare! My advice is to not underestimate your sugar intake. Whatever steps you take now will make a big difference to becoming a healthier you. With the images below you will be able to compare what is good and what is not. Yes, treat yourself if you must but don't get into the habit of it being a daily satisfaction.

Sugar has become a staple in our modern day diets. Too much sugar in the body is bad for you. Sugar is high in refined carbohydrates such as white bread and white flour products. It causes inflammation of the skin which in turn creates high levels of free radicals. it is bad for the skin and deadly for the body. sugar causes a lot of damage in healthy cells and leads to many illnesses in the body. There are over 101 reasons of why you should not consume too much sugar. It causes weight gain, raises insulin levels, premature aging, lack of energy, causes cancer, weakens the immune system (white blood cells are less efficient at fighting illnesses when exposed to sugar). It also makes children cranky or irritable. Try to cut down on sugar, substitute cravings for fresh fruits which has a natural form of sugar. Eventually cravings will pass and your body will feel better calmer and healthier and foods will also taste better.

Men On Shaving.



While some men are lucky enough to escape the razor burns and rashes caused by constant shaving, I guess the need to shave daily, weekly or by weekly is still inevitable. I wonder if men feel self conscious about bumps just like when a lady feels about a new pimple sprouting up before a date or outing. whatever the situation, we all need to deal with it and learn ways to manage our skin care routine.

The point is every guy has their style, be it the clean shaven to the rugged or the hardcore, but do men take extra lengths to avoid razor bumps etc?

Here are a few tips for the guys:-

!) No one rule, never wash your face with cold water prior to a shave as it closes up the pores, making hair harder to cut.

2) wash your face with hot in warm/hot water or use a hot towel on the face to soften bristles, making shaving much more easier. Another choice is to shave in the bath or shower so as to have a steamy environment.

3)Also prepare the surface of the skin before the actual shave by massaging with shaving cream in order to push up the hair and soften so its easier to cut in a snap.

4) Do not shave against the direction of hair growth. This causes more bumps, ingrown hair and the like.

5)Gently treat your skin not like a race track hahahah!

6) Use a good shaving cream or gel rather than soap as its drying. Also note most after shave lotions contain alcohol which also has a drying effect on the skin.  Simply add to the back of the neck and wrists.

7) Whatever blades you use, make sure its new and sharp. Never use dull blades or a straight blade or you might end up  looking  like you have been in a tiger fight hahaha.

8) Electric shavers are good but you don't get as close a shave but probably less cuts.

9) It is also important to apply a good moisturiser  after as shaving drys up the skin. Moisturisers for men should not be greasy or shiny on the face. Exfoliating about twice a week could be  great for some.

A latest fashion trend, the Genie pants butknown as Feather pushers or the Jogpurs way back in the Eighty's. Today its back again as the Genie, Harem or Aladin pants. The artist MC Hammer also made it a popular trademark fashion statement in his days. Its amazing how fashion seems to go round in  cycles.

I remember owning a pair of gold and black velvet ones in the days. It was such a must have then. So ladies, what do you think. In my opinion, its a great wear whether you choose to dress it up or down. You can do a lot with it and its a great wear. There are designer brands ranging from $5oo -£40 as the cheapest nice quality you might find.

The new cervical cancer vaccine is available to young women within the age of 13 to 26 years old. Cervical cancer is the second most common cause of deaths in women world wide. The vaccine can also be given to young girls even from the age of 9 before the first sexual contact.
